Judy Niedzielski seconded. May minutes were accepted.

It is decided that an email blast will go out regarding CD orders with a note for the spring concert audio quality.  The suggested donation will be $5 for this CD.

Ø  Music & Arts Fundraiser- Judy Niedzielski reported the date is set for August 28th –This fundraiser requires 8-10 parent volunteers (as volunteers must be 18 years old or older) to run an 11-3 shift.  Music & Arts instructors will provide live music.  Additional fundraising ideas are hotdogs and soda, and sales of a Wethersfield Schools Music Program t-shirt. Nella and Elia reported that after all expenses were paid the banquet netted approximately $393, what was collected for 50/50 Raffle.  Thanks to Marie Massaro, the winner, who donated back her winnings.  Nella and Elia also thanked everyone that helped that evening with setup and cleanup.

Dave Dion’s Update

Ø  Memorial Day Parade- went extremely well.  Kids sounded great and looked great in their polos.

Ø  Spring Concert – Dave was happy with the overall results under the circumstances. It was a great opportunity for 8th graders to experience what it’s like to perform with a

large band. Still he felt it was unfortunate that Olivia Fortunato’s and Ryan Griffin’s solos were hurt by the acoustics and background noise of the gym. Unfortunately, this was unavoidable.

Ø  Graduation-June 22nd @ 6:00 (Students to report at 5:15) Six alumni returning for graduation performance.

Ø  UNICO – Dave received 4 checks for UNICO and its officers totaling $620 to go toward the bass and cello racks. Nella to send individual thank you notes.

Ø  Band Camp @ Webb- August 19th -27th (9-4, lunch 12-1)- Uniform fittings will be Mon and Tues.; uniform distribution day is to be announced. Color Guard Camp schedule will run afternoon into the evening.

Ø  Uniform Dues- Eva recommended dues be set at $90 with shoes or $60 if student already owns shoes.  The dues include dry cleaning and fitting of uniforms and snacks through Marching Band Season. Judy Nziedelski motioned. Lisa Ambrogio seconded.  Motion passed.
