MINUTES OF THE WIMB MEETING January 2011 Eva Nascimento called meeting to order on January 20th at 7:10 pm. President’s CommentsEva began by reading thank you notes from Sondra Blanzaco of the Drama Club for the raffle basket and from Tom Ragonese for the donation from WIMB for Lights on Cottone Field. December MinutesJoe Nascimento motioned to accept the December minutes. Patti Silva seconded. December minutes were accepted. Treasurer’s Report Mario Ciampi gave the treasurer’s report for December. PublicityYolanda Preysner was not present. Fundraising Ø Bottle Drive-John MacFarlane suggested several dates for the spring drive. It was decided May 21st would be the best date. John is going to complete building use. Also, we need a co-chair and a shadow for this committee. Ø Christmas Tree Pick-ups-Rich Giolito reported is going very well. 180 trees have been picked up so far. Ø Stadium Cushions- Patti Silva reported the first batch of seats ordered was completely unacceptable. She is currently gathering samples to bring to the next meeting. Ø Music T-shirts- Judy Niedzielski reported that they’ve sold over 140. She is also planning to continue selling at the upcoming music department events. Ø Band Banquet- Lisa Stefano & Paula Houlihan reminded everyone that the banquet will be Friday, May 20th @ 6:00. As in previous years, it will be a potluck supper. Volunteer sign-ups were passed around. Anyone interested in helping out, can contact Lisa or Paula. Ø DVDs- Eva reported that DVDs to Awakenings and the holiday concert are available for a $10 donation. She has some extras, but you can also contact Ed Zambrello. New/Old Business Ø Cabaret Silent Auction- Drama Club sent thank you note for raffle baskets stating our baskets were the most successful. Also, Eva announced the dates for Little Women: March 10, 11, 12, and 13th and the following weekend. Ø WHS Safe Grad- Lisa Stefano announced that Safe Grad is currently selling Pandora charms. Also, Safe Grad Dance will be March 12th. Dave Dion’s Update Ø Northern Regionals – 10 students made it: Max Sommers, Catherine Preysner, Laura Morrison, Drew Niedzielski, Marie Godart, Sarah Santhouse, Rose Lewis, John Preysner, and Anthony Randazzo. Ø Trip- The trip to Westside Story at the Bushnell will be in May. Dave is finalizing details. Ø Winter Concert is March 30th. In case of inclement weather, it will be March 31st. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm. Next Meeting is February 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Chorus Room.
