Instrumental Music Boosters
Summer Notes 2009
Welcome to all new and returning instrumental music students and parents. Another school year is about to start and there is a wealth of information to share about exciting upcoming band, orchestra, and color guard activities!
The Instrumental Music Boosters continue to plan and fundraise and, as always, look to you for support in enhancing the music experience at Wethersfield High School. Important dates and ways to volunteer are noted below. You will get guaranteed training and help from “experts” when you step up to volunteer!

With the cost of printing and postage rising, we are now communicating via computer as much as possible. The WHS Instrumental Boosters website is www.wimb.info. Last minute schedule changes and announcements are sent via email and posted on the website, along with minutes of booster meetings, various schedules, directions to competitions, information about upcoming fund raising events, photographs, and useful links. Please visit the website frequently!
SUMMER BAND CAMP: Band camp will be held at Webb Elementary School from Wednesday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 26th from 9 am to 4 pm. Lunch (brought by students) will be from 12 – 1 every day. Parents are invited to a preview show of “In the Heights” on August 26, 5:30 p.m., at Webb.
UNIFORMS: Donna Pallone, parent uniform coordinator, and other volunteers will fit students for uniforms on Monday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 25th at Webb. It is imperative that your child be fitted at those times.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC BOOSTERS MEETING DATES: Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the Band Room at 7:00 p.m. Please join us.
UPCOMING FUNDRAISING EVENTS FOR ORCHESTRA AND BAND:
ROCK CATS CONCESSION STAND: Booster parents and students over 16 with working papers have been working at games this spring and summer. Students earn $25 per game for their student account. Last year the Boosters made approximately $3,000 working concessions. Remaining 2009 Dates:
